2 Week Birthday!!
Asher is 2 weeks old today and doing super for an almost 7 week early little preemie. The days are pretty consistent with feedings and assessments every 3 hours, daily rounding by the medical team with any new updates, an hour or two of sleep here and there, meals, and cuddle times with mom and dad. We could just sit and stare at him all day :)
NEXT STEPS:
Hold his temperature at a certain temperature so he can get his isolet top taken off
Continuing eating well (nursing and bottle) so he can get the tube out
Continued healing of his right side (leg and arm) - he wears a foot and hand splint off and on through the days. He sent forth His Word and healed them. Psalm 138:8
Many of you have continued to ask what we need… First of all, THANK YOU for being so kind and caring!!!! We live amazed and blessed by your generosity!!! ! Life is still happening mainly here at the hospital and since I am no longer an admitted patient we are no longer on a meal plan. The cafeteria is a huge blessing and is pretty affordable. Gift card and monies are the biggest blessing in helping us right now. .A dear friend surprised us and set up a Gofundme to help with ongoing expenses from these months here at MVH and life with our new little man once we get home and really see what we need.

Lord, praise You for touching Asher’s little leg, foot, and hand in a miraculous way! We pray that every day his progress would amaze our OT team and he would never need a cast and nerve endings near his thumb would work exactly as You have created them to. Thank you in advance. Amen.
