Asher's 28th Week-Aversary
Praise the Lord! Asher hit Week 28 and 1 Day today!!! He and I were supposed to be chilling in a snowy mountain home in Breckenridge, Colorado this weekend while we celebrated a besties 40th Birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!!!!!! Love you!!! Trusting God’s plan, but boy do I wish we were there!!!
Well… Asher was a little sleepy this morning during his heart rate monitoring so we had to head to ultrasound a little earlier than normal so he could pass a few tests. Nurses assure me that he’s ok it’s just a part of protocol if he doesn’t hit some markers during his daily monitoring. He perked up downstairs and passed with flying colors -fluid check, big movements, breathing, and small hand movements all on point. He’s still only averaging about 2cm’s of fluid, but at least there is a little and not none. :)
Next week will be a big one with his monthly weigh in - hoping he stays inside and praying he’ll hit 3 lbs!!!
Highlight of today:
Jonny is leaving at 4:30pm to pick up a surprise for me. Not sure if it’s a “who” or a “what”, but I am excited to see what rolls in about 6pm tonight with him! I LOVE SURPRISES!!!
THIS IS MY SURPRISE!!!! My sweet Kim Cuz flew in from Florida (after Face Timing me earlier today telling me all about her “plans” for her day off work) LOVE IT!! She showed up tonight with Jonny and Chick Fil A for supper for all of us!
Nothing else much going on. We hit a month marker here at MVH and are experiencing God’s amazing grace day by day. Thank you all for your continued love and prayers!
Continued Updates:: I don’t have a plan to keep the blog up to date for updates and prayer as things would happen more day to day, but I am sure my mom and brother will be posting on their Facebook - Robin DeWitt - https://www.facebook.com/robin.dewitt.54 or Ben DeWitt -https://www.facebook.com/ben.dewitt.549.
Mailing Address: Jonny and Hannah Picard, 248 McDaniels Lane, Springboro Ohio 45066 Many of you have been asking for our address and what we might need during this time… With room changes that may happen, our home address will be best for mail moving forward. Hospital mail has been great, so anything sent here should still be good though too. Gift cards for gas, parking, and occasional non-hospitals meal have been and will continue to be such a blessing as the journey with Asher will continue with weeks in the NICU once he makes his appearance! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!
