Making Memories

It’s fun to see how God is helping us make new memories each day along this journey.

Date Night:
I had mentioned to Jonny the other day that it would be fun to have a date night this week. I wasn’t even sure what that could look like here, but just threw it out there…. Well…. Jonny rocked my socks off and made me bawl!!! He showed up yesterday morning in his suit and tie, carrying the lantern he used when he proposed to me last year on February 9, 2018. He had planned for us to have a candlelight dinner. We put a note on my door that said, “Date Night Dinner, Please Come Back After 8:30pm” and had a sweet time together with no nurse interruptions.

Visit from Aunt Marsha:
Today, my Aunt Marsha came over from Kentucky (just beyond Cincinnati) to visit and brought in lunch for us. Such a blessing to see her and eat non-hospital food again!!!! We had Asher’s daily sonogram monitoring while she was here so she could hear his little heartbeat :) He’s beating steady and strong at 135 BPM and it’s sweet to hear his little movements too.

Old School Games:
Jonny brought in the old school game “Operation” this afternoon - blast from the past! I don’t think I’d be a great surgeon LOL.

“PRAYERS: God would seal up the ruptured membrane and allow the fluid to fill around Asher. He would keep allowing him to grow strong and healthy regardless of the fluid inside. ”
