Sweet, Snowy Saturday

Happy Snowy Saturday! Well… Like usual, Jonny face-timed me before he headed over here to the hospital to see if I needed anything. I was just laying in the bed looking very morning raggedy. Yesterday, for some reason, I didn’t even change out of that raggedy mode all day. But today! I had energy to do my hair, makeup, and put on a sweater and leggings. When he got to our room and saw me sitting at the couch, instead of in the bed where he was expecting me to be, he was so sweetly shocked and amazingly encouraging about how pretty I looked. Seriously, ya’ll! Jonny is the B E S T. He has been the sweetest surprise of a lifetime and sometimes still I am not sure how to receive the incredible gift he is to me. Don't get me wrong, Jonny thinks I’m beautiful even when I’m in the bed and don’t do a thing to myself in these days, but I thought it was so kind of the Lord to help me have the energies to get ready for the day today and be able to bless him with an unexpected moment in his day.

Asher Update: Asher’s sitting tight, moving a bit, heart rate is good, & no sign of infection for me.

Highlight of the day - It’s the little things in life right now LOL
We treated ourselves to Submarine House subs for our first non-hospital lunch. I’m grateful for the sustenance of the hospital food, but it leaves a lot to be desired… Praise the Lord for gift cards for an occasional special meal.
