January 18th Good News

Heeeeere's Jonny!!!! Hey y’all, Jonny here, I’m here to tell you about something miraculous after something tragic. You’ve all heard about the crazy things that have happened recently. I’m happy to say Hannah is in excellent spirits now. The bleeding continues ever so periodically and the leakage of fluid hasn’t stopped either. All things considered we aught to be a wreck right now….but we’re not!

We had an Ultrasound towards the end of the day on January 18th, according to normal pregnancies we knew the weight of Asher aught to be about 1.7lbs and there aught to be anywhere between 8 and 24cc’s of amniotic fluid around him. As you know we have steadily been able to see at least 2cc’s of amniotic fluid thank Jesus and a full bladder every time we see him in an ultrasound. This day we went to the Ultrasound and discovered some pretty amazing things!

First, yes, it is confirmed that a placental abruption is occurring. The doctors expect it to continue until something has to be done to save the mother and the baby, however, there are chances that it may stop and chances that it won’t cause pre-term labor which is what we are praying for here at Team Asher!

Second, when we got down to the Ultrasound a great gal named Erin, she decided to seek out Asher’s weight despite not receiving a request from a doctor, just took our request. Asher cooperated and showed us all that he is currently 2lbs exactly!!! This is huge to us considering his issues, the likely case would be that due to not having fluid to build up his lungs and the muscles that assist with breathing his chest aught to be abnormally small, which it really isn’t!

Third, we discovered as well that there were multiple pockets of fluid found accumulating to about 4cc’s which is almost half of where he needs to be to be perfectly healthy. But the most amazing and awesome part was to see a good portion around his face! That alone is incredible!

Fourth, and this to me is the most important, we got to see Asher’s actual face. He is beautiful and so very precious. My heart warmed tremendously to the sight of my sleeping son! Thank you all for your prayers and support. We’re no where near out of the woods yet and in fact the doctors are still on edge about it all. But our God is great and the voices of His people have risen together requesting Asher’s life, we continue to hope for a miracle that baffles doctors and nurses and we can give all glory to God.
