Waiting...

So what do I do during these days and specifically this week while I’m waiting to go into the hospital for rest of the pregnancy and have no real certainty from a medical perspective that we will come home with our little Asher?

Many options have crossed my mind during these days:

1. Lie in the fetal position and spend the days in fear and tears…
2. Freak out and make a list of all the things we don’t want to forget to get done
3. Live with worry and anxiety every day of how Asher is doing
4. Dread the journey ahead and live paralyzed by the uncertainty of it all

OR…

5. Get up each morning and trust the Lord, cry with Him occasionally as moments arise…
6. Ask the Lord each day what He has for us as I rest and we prepare for this unique season ahead
7. Cast my cares and celebrate each time I feel his little movements (such a gift because they said without fluid it’s not super common to feel him move!!)
8. Declare with faith that ASHER WILL COME HOME WITH US and the certainty of our God in it all!!!

Let’s be real, I can’t say that 1-4 don’t happen on occasion, BUT GOD is helping me/us to live in 5-8. All glory and praise to Him!

I don’t want to spend my days waiting on the end of the journey to be revealed.

I want to spend my days close to the Lord and to Jonny and living present in each moment that we have along the way. I do believe that every part of this journey is a gift from the Lord as I lean into Him.

Here are some fun things that have been happening along the way…

Sweet time with the Kanaday’s in route to OH - gotta love our matching outfits (pic below)
Afternoon with Amy - who would have thought we’d be OH neighbors!
