Asher's 30th Week-Aversary!!!

We are now 48 Days into Asher’s Miraculous Adventures here at MVH! He’s made it to Week 30, 2 days and is still growing strong inside. Doctors just come in to our room each day now, smile and shake their head. Today my on-call doctor, Dr. Wood, even brought us donuts and sat and split one with me - how sweet!!!

Yesterday at ultrasound, Dr. Croom from our Maternal Fetal Medicine team came in, and after weeks of uncertainties we heard a little different tune - the size of the lungs looked better to them this week! He said he is cautiously optimistic!!!!! With everything else in Asher’s little body looking on par perhaps his internal/alveoli lung development may be too?????

This week I had this thought… How awesome would it be when Asher makes it to 34 weeks that he’s induced for a natural birth, comes out weighing a whopping 5.5 pounds, breathing is perfect, eating is perfect, car seat test is passed like a full term baby and we go home after the normal 2 days?!?!?!

Thank you so much for your continued thoughts, prayers, texts, calls, Face Times, blog comments, emails, encouraging cards, gift cards, checks, homemade meals, cute outfits, and visits! I don’t know where we’d be without all of you supporting us along this journey.

Mailing Address: Jonny and Hannah Picard, 248 McDaniels Lane, Springboro Ohio 45066 Many of you have been asking for our address and what we might need during this time… With room changes that may happen, our home address will be best for mail moving forward. Hospital mail has been great, so anything sent here should still be good though too. Gift cards for gas, parking, and occasional non-hospitals meal have been and continue to be such a blessing as the journey with Asher will continues.
